Oklahoma City, OK :Charges filed against Yukon man involved in fatal I-44 crash on Saturday, June 27th 2015
Charges were filed Tuesday against a Yukon man who was involved in a fatal crash that occurred over the weekend on Interstate 44.A passenger in one of the vehicles, Gustavo Lopez, suffered head, trunk and arm injuries during an accident at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday on I-44 just south of SW 59th Street in Oklahoma City, according to an accident report. Lopez, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene.According to the report, Landon Horn, 23, was driving a 2001 Ford Taurus that crashed into a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by Sandoval Hernandez, 33. Hernandez was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.Horn was not injured, according to the report.An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper reported that Hernandez smelled of alcohol, and Horn had illegal drugs in his possession. The trooper did not list a cause for the accident because the crash was still under investigation.The charge filed against Horn are for driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs, officials said.
