HAMILTON, NJ : Teen, 2 men charged after state police pursuit ends in crash on Saturday, February 4th 2017

State police say a pursuit involving a drunken teenage driver ended with a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike and the youth and two men facing weapons and drug charges.

The chase began around 1:40 a.m. Saturday when troopers tried to stop a speeding southbound car on Interstate 295. They say the 16-year-old boy driving the car refused to stop but eventually crashed into a traffic barrier near Exit 7 on the turnpike in Mercer County.

No one in the vehicle was injured. But troopers allegedly found two handguns loaded with hollow point bullets in the vehicle, along with marijuana, heroin and drug paraphernalia.

The two men were in the car with the teen. It wasn’t known Sunday if any of them have retained attorneys.
