Pillager, MN : Brothers on motorcycles injured on Highway 210 crash on Saturday, July 30, 2016
Two brothers were injured after losing control of their motorcycles and crashing at 4:20 p.m. Saturday on Highway 210 and Janick Trail in Pillager
The Minnesota State Patrol reported a Honda Accord was eastbound on Highway 210 and was stopped to turn left onto Janick Trail. A Honda Shadow motorcycle and a Harley Davidson Softail were also eastbound on Highway 210 and they attempted to stop behind the Honda. The state patrol reported the motorcycles lost control, the Honda Shadow rear-ended the Honda and the Harley fell to the roadway on top of the rider on the right shoulder.
The driver of the Honda Shadow, Kelly W. Thronson, 61, Ada, was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale for serious injuries. The state patrol reported he was not wearing a helmet. The driver of the Harley, Bryan D. Thronson, 60, Ada, was taken to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd for non-life-threatening injuries. He was wearing a helmet, the state patrol reported.
The Pillager Fire Chief Randy Lee said the two motorcycle operators were brothers.
The driver of the Honda, Emily A. Doss, 23, Pillager, had no apparent injuries.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office and the Pillager Fire Department assisted at the scene.
