Douglas County ,OR : 71-year-old Douglas County woman killed in crash on Highway 38 on Friday ,June 12th 2015

A 71-year-old woman died Friday after the car she was driving drifted off Oregon 38, rolled down an embankment and crashed into a tree west of the small Douglas County town of Drain.

Donna Brewster of Drain was driving west on the highway when her 2000 Pontiac Montana left the road about 4:20 p.m., according to preliminary information from the Oregon State Police.

Brewster was pronounced dead at the scene.

State Police officials -- assisted by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and the Oregon Department of Transportation – were investigating the crash.
