Asheville, NC : 29 - Years old man killed in crash after his Vehicle ran off the road and crashed into several treesalong Interstate 40 on Saturday night ,January 18th 2015

A Weaverville man has died after a car crash along I-40 in Asheville late Saturday night, according to the Asheville Police Department.

Police said the crash happened around 11 p.m. near mile marker 48.

Andrew Anderson, 29, was driving a 2000 Chevy Camaro that ran off the road and crashed into several trees, police said.

Anderson died at the scene.

Police said a passenger was also injured but is expected to recover.

Asheville Police Department's Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the crash.
