ALBUQUERQUE, NM : APD suspects DWI in fatal crash at Eubank and Chico on Wednesday, 4th November, 2020

A man is facing a charge of vehicular homicide after a woman was killed in a suspected drunken driving crash Wednesday evening in Northeast Albuquerque.

According to an Albuquerque Police Department news release sent out Thursday morning, witnesses said a man was driving at high speed north on Eubank when he hit another vehicle that was turning east on Chico.

“APD’s Motor Unit will charge a man who admitted to drinking alcohol, smoking marijuana and speeding prior to a crash late Wednesday that resulted in the death of a woman,” the release reads. “Mohammad Hasani will be charged with vehicular homicide.”

Police shut down southbound Eubank at Chico following the crash, APD posted on its Twitter account around 7:20 p.m.
