Crozet,VA : Victim named in fatal train crash on January, Wednesday 31st 2018

A train carrying GOP lawmakers to their retreat in West Virginia collided with a garbage truck on Wednesday near Crozet.

One person died and another was seriously injured, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said, but there were no serious injuries among members of Congress or their staff.

According to the Albemarle County Police Department, one of the two passengers of the trash truck, Christopher Foley, 28, of Louisa County, died.

The other passenger was airlifted to the University of Virginia Medical Center with critical injuries, while the driver of the truck was taken by ground in serious condition.

President Trump, who is also scheduled to travel to West Virginia on Air Force One for the Republican retreat Thursday, has been fully briefed and is receiving regular updates, Sanders said.
