Cincinnati, OH : Pedestrian in critical condition after a hit-skip vehicle crash at 4848 Reading Road on Friday night, September 16, 2016
Cincinnati police are investigating a hit-skip vehicle crash in which a car hit a pedestrian and caromed off multiple objects in the 4800 block of Reading Road on Friday night.
A 2003 Ford Escape hit Brandon Brown, 35, who was standing in a parking lot at 4848 Reading Road. The car was traveling north at a high speed and, after hitting Brown, struck a tree, a road sign and a metal police, police said in a Saturday news release.
The vehicle went back and forth across Reading Road multiple times and was left unoccupied and abandoned, police said.
Brown sustained life-threatening injures and was take to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He was listed in critical condition as of 5 a.m.
It's unknown who was driving the car and excessive speeding is believed to have been a factor.
