Harrison County, OH : Fatality reported in two-vehicle crash on Saturday, 15th December 2018

A two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Harrison County resulted in one fatality according to information provided by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.According to the initial report, Kimberly K. Kirkpatrick, 44, of Canton was traveling west along U.S. Route 250 in Monroe Township while operating a 2017 Honda Accord. The vehicle was driven left of center and struck a 2010 GMC Denali driven by Sandra K. Caldwell, 70, of New Philadelphia.

Kirkpatrick was killed in the crash, and Caldwell was transported to a Canton hospital with serious injuries, according to the report.

Three passengers in the GMC Denali were also transported to a Canton hospital.

The accident occurred at 5:24 a.m. Saturday, and the report indicates both drivers and all passengers were wearing safety belts.

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and fire departments from Uhrichsville, Scio, Bowerston and Tappan assisted at the scene. The Ohio Department of Transportation also assisted with traffic control.

According to the report, the incident remains under investigation.
