Marshall,MO : Sweet Springs man injured in Pettis Co. crash on may, tuesday 9th 2017

A Sweet Springs driver was injured while traveling through Pettis County at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 9.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the incident occurred when Braden T. Butts, 18, was heading west on U.S. Highway 50, one mile east of Buckley Road. The vehicle Butts was driving — a 2000 Ford — ran off the left side of the road, crossed the median, and then crossed the eastbound lanes before running off the north side of the road, the report stated. The vehicle reportedly impacted the ground, went airborne, impacted the ground again and came to rest in a field.

Butts was taken by ambulance to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries, according to the report.

Pettis County deputies and Pettis County EMS assisted MSHP on scene.
