NEW YORK, NY : 89-year-old woman dead and two others injured on Sunday, December, 17th 2017

New York City police say a crash involving an Uber vehicle has left an 89-year-old woman dead and two others injured.

WPIX-TV reports the crash happened Sunday afternoon in Brooklyn's Dyker Heights neighborhood. Police say a car struck an Uber vehicle. Authorities say the force of the collision pushed the Uber car into a parked vehicle.

Authorities say the 42-year-old Uber driver and two passengers in the car, ages 79 and 89, were taken to a nearby hospital. Police say 89-year-old Helen Malinowski, of Brooklyn, was later pronounced dead.

The Uber driver has been arrested for driving with a suspended license.
