Opelika,AL : Lanett woman killed in Opelika traffic accident on September, Wednesday 13th 2017

A 31-year-old Lanett woman died as a result of a two-vehicle traffic accident that occurred late Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Andrews Road and North Park Drive, according to the Opelika Police Department.

April Billingsley, who was driving one of the vehicles in the accident, was discovered entrapped in her vehicle with no signs of life at approximately 5:30 p.m. when Opelika Police, Opelika Fire and Rescue, and EAMC emergency personnel responded to a 911 call reporting a two-vehicle collision on the east side of Opelika.



It appears that Billingsley was entering the intersection from North Park Drive and was struck by a vehicle traveling north on Andrews Road, according to Opelika police.
