Victim in fatality identified San Marcos Texas

A spokeswoman at the Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the victim of a fatal roll-over crash Saturday morning in Comal County just beyond the New Braunfels city limits.

Tanner Wagner, 21, of San Marcos, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash about 7:10 a.m. Saturday at Farm-to-Market Road 1102 and Hoffman Lane, said Liz Murchison, DPS police communications operator.

Wagner was alone when he rolled a Ford F-350 pickup truck, Murchison said.On Saturday, Capt. Ethan Lindner of New Braunfels Fire Department said he couldn’t release the victim’s identity.

Lindner said EMS personnel took a male victim to Christus Santa Rosa Hospital-New Braunfels in critical condition, and the male died at the hospital. He said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle.

There were no witnesses to the crash, Lindner said.Murchison said a DPS report mentioned nothing about Wagner being thrown from the truck and that he died at the scene of the crash.
