Thibodaux, LA : A 19-year-old and his 18-year-old passenger were killed on May, Sunday, 21st 2017

A 19-year-old and his 18-year-old passenger were killed after he hit a utility pole early this morning near Scotty J’s Arena Road in Kraemer, State Police said.
The Lafourche Parish Coroner’s Office pronounced Jaydon Labat, of Thibodaux, and Candace Reulet, of Vacherie, dead at the scene, Trooper First Class Jesse LaGrange said in a news release. Troopers were notified of the crash shortly before 12:30 a.m.
LaGrange said the preliminary investigation showed Labat was driving a 2010 Dodge Challenger south on La. 307 when he entered a left curve, went off the road to the right and struck the pole. He and Reulet were both ejected.
Labat was wearing a seat belt, but Reulet was not, LaGrange said. Investigators believe Labat was speeding and possibly impaired, and routine toxicology tests are pending.
