Symsonia ,KY :26 - Years old Juan Rivera faced charges caused by Single Vehicle Crash with injures on Friday,April 10,2015

Authorities say a man is facing charges after an alcohol-related crash in western Kentucky.

Friday night Graves County deputies responded to KY 131 at Switzer Lane for a single vehicle crash with injuries.

According to the sheriff's office, Juan Rivera, 29, was driving south on KY 131 when his vehicle went off the road.

Rivera's vehicle traveled along the ditch line where it finally went off in a creek causing serious damage to the vehicle.

Neighbors in the area helped Rivera exit the vehicle while emergency services were on the way.

Symsonia Fire and Mayfield EMS treated Rivera on scene. They later transported him to Jackson Purchase Medical Center where he was flown to an Evansville Trauma Center for non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation showed Rivera was driving on a DUI suspended license and alcohol use was a factor in the crash.

The sheriff's office says charges will be filed on Rivera for DUI 3rd, operating on a suspended license and other moving violations.
