Racine, WI : Man killed in Jeep hit a tree crash in Brighton on Sunday October 9 2016
A man was found dead early Sunday after a Jeep hit a tree in western Kenosha County.
According to a release from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, deputies and Town of Salem rescue crews were dispatched at 12:26 a.m. to the 24400 block of Highway NN for a a report of a motor vehicle crash.
On arrival, deputies located a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee that had struck a tree adjacent to a curved section of the roadway. The operator and lone occupant of the vehicle was found to be deceased and the Kenosha County Medical Examiner’s Office was called to the scene.
The crash site is located east of Highway 75 and a couple of miles southeast of the Bong State Recreation area and north of the Paddock Lake village limits.
The name of the deceased was being withheld Sunday pending notification of next of kin, the department said.
Sgt. Eric Klinkhammer, spokesman for the department, said speed and alcohol are believed to have contributed to this crash.
