One dead after dump truck hits train

DAYTON, Idaho -- The driver of a dump truck has died after running into a train shortly after 10 a.m. Wednesday just west of Preston. Reports indicate the driver was operating a Franklin County dump truck, and was traveling eastbound on State Highway 36 near milepost 127 when the crash happened.
