Milford ,DE : 79-year-old Mary McDermott killed after Two car crash on Friday,July 31st 2015

Delaware State Police say a woman has died more than a week after the car she was riding in collided with another vehicle in Milford.

Troopers say 79-year-old Mary McDermott of Newark died Sunday at Christiana Hospital, where she was flown after the July 31 crash.

Authorities say McDermott was a passenger in a Honda Civic driven by 48-year-old Mary Szczuka of Bear. Police say Szczuka was driving south on Blacksmith Shop Road and was not required to stop at the intersection with Staytonville Road.

Investigators say 59-year-old Charles Lindbeck Jr. of Ocean View was driving west on Staytonville Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign.

Troopers say Lindbeck's car struck the Honda.
