CHARLOTTE, NC : 1 dead after car runs stop sign, crashes into CATS bus west of uptown on Thursday, 1st October, 2020

One person was killed Thursday night in a wreck involving a CATS bus west of uptown Charlotte, police said.
The crash happened at about 8:40 p.m. near the intersection of West Morehead Street and Millerton Avenue.A 2004 Toyota Camry, driven by Jayasekar Mudaliar, 27, was speeding, ran a stop sign and struck the bus, officials said. Mudaliar was ejected from the car after hitting the city bus. He was taken to a hospital where he died.
