Seattle, WA : Car perched precariously on barrier after crash on I-5 in downtown Seattle on Friday afternoon, September 12, 2014
The two left lanes of Interstate 5 in downtown Seattle were blocked by a crash at Interstate 90 in which a car was left in a precarious position on an elevated portion of the freeway.
Video from Chopper 7 showed a portion showed the front wheel of the car atop the edge of the elevated stretch of the freeway Friday afternoon.
The State Patrol said the crash involved two semi-trucks and two cars. One car slammed into the second car and pushed it to the edge of the barrier.
The driver of the car perched on the edge wasn’t able to immediately exit the vehicle because of its position.
Troopers said any injuries from the crash were believed to be minor.
A WSDOT incident response team removed the car from the railing and the scene has since been cleared.
At one point, traffic was backed up for five miles.
