Petoskey, MI : Cyclist injured in collision with sport utility vehicle in Charlevoix County's Charlevoix Township Monday, September 12, 2016

A Charlevoix man was injured when he collided with sport utility vehicle while riding a bicycle in Charlevoix County's Charlevoix Township Monday.

According to a news release from the Charlevoix County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened at about 6:40 p.m. on Old Orchard Road.

Authorities said Devin Post, 34, of Charlevoix, was turning off North Country Club Drive onto Old Orchard Drive on his bicycle when he failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a 2005 Buick SUV, driven by Travis Murray, 32, of Charlevoix.

Post was transported to the Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Hospital by Charlevoix Ambulance crews where he was treated for his injuries.

This incident remains under investigation.
