Jamestown, ND : Teens hurt in rollover crash in Grand Forks County on Saturday, August 13, 2016

Three teenagers were injured Saturday when their car rolled into a ditch in Grand Forks County, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 11:44 p.m. on N.D. Highway 15 about 8 miles west of Northwood, N.D. A 2006 Saturn Ion, driven by a 17-year-old girl from East Grand Forks, Minn., with two passengers was heading eastbound from Red Willow Lake, N.D., to Grand Forks when the car started to drift off the right shoulder. The patrol said the driver overcorrected, and the vehicle went off the roadway and into the north ditch where it vaulted over a field approach and rolled.

A 17-year-old girl from Eagan, Minn., who was a passenger in the vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and sustained serious injuries, the patrol said.

The driver and Jamison Patrick Richter, 19, Bismarck, a passenger in the Saturn, we both injured and wearing seat belts.

All three occupants were transported by Northwood Ambulance to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. The Grand Forks County Sheriff's Office, Larimore Ambulance Services and Larimore Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene.

This crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
