PEORIA, AZ : 2 dead, 2 hospitalized after a crash in Peoria near Lake Pleasant on Saturday, 20th April 2024

Police have identified the people who died after a head-on collision in Peoria near Lake Pleasant on Saturday evening.

Around 6:15 p.m., Peoria police officers, along with the Peoria Fire and Medical Department, were called to the crash on Castle Hot Springs Road, just north of State Route 74.

Police say a red Ford F-150 was going north on Castle Hot Springs Road, and a white Kia Forte was going south when the two cars collided head-on.

Two passengers in the Kia Forte, identified as 19-year-old Nivesh Mukka and 19-year-old Gouthan Parsi, both from India, died from their injuries at the scene. The driver of the Kia Forte and the truck were both taken to the hospital with serious injuries but have been released.
