Merritt Island, FL : Motorcyclist dies after striking a vehicle at Brevard intersection on Wednesday, January 28, 2015

A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday after striking a vehicle at the intersection of Merritt Island Parkway and Banana River Drive.

Troopers said Laura Johnson, 70, was driving her 2010 Honda west on Merritt Island Parkway around 6:15 p.m.when she attempted to make a left turn onto Banana River Drive, turning into the path of Eric Rebillard, 42, who was driving a 2002 motorcycle.

Johnson struck the rear, right side of Rebillard's motorcycle.

Rebillard's injuries from the crash were fatal.

The crash remains under investigation.
