COLUMBIA, SC : Lane closure in effect after crash on I-26 East near Chapin on Thursday, 9th May 2024

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) interstate cameras showed a lane closure on I-26 East Thursday morning.

A crash near mile marker 95 caused the right line of the interstate to be closed. Traffic has been slowed to a standstill due to the closure.

The details surrounding the crash are not known at this time.

As of 11:14 a.m., SCDOT cameras indicated the scene has not yet been cleared.
