PORTLAND, OR : Child dead, 4 other people injured in crash in N. Portland on Wednesday, 20th March 2024

A woman has been charged with multiple crimes including manslaughter and drunk driving in connection with a crash that led to the death of her 4-year-old son, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

Angelina L. Minor, 27, is facing charges of first-degree manslaughter, third-degree assault, driving under the influence of intoxicants - alcohol, reckless driving, failure to perform the duties of a driver - property damage, and three count of recklessly endangering another person.

Police say Minor, who as driving a black 2011 Hyundai Elantra, was initially involved in a minor, non-injury crash Wednesday at North Lombard Street and North Richmond Avenue with a red 2024 Scion XB. Minor did not stop and the driver of the Scion follower her.

Moments later, police say Minor was eastbound on North Fessenden Street at North Oswego Avenue when she drove over the median divider into the oncoming lane, then continued to drive against traffic. She crashed head-on into a silver 2022 Tesla Model S at North Mohawk Avenue.
