Fort Collins, CO : 2 killed in Thanksgiving Day crash involving suspicious vehicle on Thursday, 22nd November 2018

Two people are dead following a crash at the intersection of Harmony Road and Boardwalk Drive in Fort Collins involving a suspicious vehicle that fled from officers on Thursday morning.

In a video statement released Thursday afternoon, Fort Collins Police Services spokesman Brandon Barnes said the crash occurred after police received a call at 9:46 a.m. about a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of Arctic Fox Drive and Caribou Drive.

According to the statement, officers responded to that intersection and attempted to make contact with the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle then fled, but officers did not pursue.

Shortly thereafter, a multi-car collision involving that same vehicle occurred at the intersection of Harmony Road and Boardwalk Drive. The driver of the suspect vehicle was then taken into custody by Fort Collins police. His name and age were not released.
