Baton Rouge, LA : Mandeville man dies in two-vehicle crash in Iberville Parish Tuesday night, August 2, 2016
A 50-year-old Mandeville man died from injuries in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night on Interstate 10 in Iberville Parish, Louisiana State Police said in a news release.
Shortly before 10 p.m., 50-year-old Marty Wyatt, of Mandeville, was driving a 2015 Toyota Tundra westbound on I-10 near Ramah. Wyatt was driving in the right lane behind 33-year-old Alahundro Buckley, of Picayune, Mississippi, who was also traveling westbound on I-10, in a 1995 Peterbuilt 18-wheeler. At some point, Wyatt rear-ended Buckley’s vehicle, State Police said.
Wyatt was not wearing a seat belt. He sustained fatal injuries in the crash, State Police said.
Buckley, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured.
Toxicology samples were taken from both drivers for analysis.
