Lake Zurich, IL : No injuries in school bus collision on Tuesday November 24 2015

No one was hurt Monday when a pick-up struck the back of a school bus in Lake Zurich during a rush hour rain shower.
Lt. Daren Garcia of the Lake Zurich Fire Rescue Department said they received a call for help at 4:12 p.m. Nov. 30, after a pickup drove into the back of a Lake Zurich District 95 elementary bus. Both had been driving north on Illinois Route 59, and were approaching Illinois Route 22. When the bus stopped, Garcia said, the pickup did not stop in time.
The bus had seven students on board, Garcia said, plus the driver. The pickup had only one occupant, and no significant cargo. Because of that afternoon's chilly rain, the students stayed on the bus while firefighters and district officials examined the damage.
Garcia said the impact bent the back bumper, but that the damage was only cosmetic. About an hour after the crash, the bus continued on and carried the children home.
