Orlando, FL : Driver extricated in State Road 408 crash on Thursday, July 30, 2015
Firefighters worked to extricate a driver involved in a crash on State Road 408, the Orlando Police Department said.
The crash involving one vehicle happened at 9:35 p.m. Thursday on the East/West Expressway westbound approaching the Orange Blossom Trail Exit.
Police said a pickup truck struck a crash attenuator, crossed the travel lanes and hit the center median on its driver's side.
Firefighters with the Orlando Fire Department extricated the driver. Police said both people inside of the pickup were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The westbound lanes were closed for an hour for OFD and clean-up.
Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the crash.
