Kingsland, TX : Man dies after head-on vehicle collision on Grand Parkway in west Harris County on Monday night, August 8, 2016

A man died and four other people were injured in a head-on crash Monday night on Texas 99 in west Harris County.

The two-vehicle wreck happened around 10:40 p.m. in the 900 block of the West Grand Parkway South near Kingsland, Harris County Sheriff's Deputy Richard Sanders said.

A driver traveling northbound crossed over into on-coming traffic and slammed head-on into a vehicle headed southbound.

The northbound vehicle caught fire after the crash, but a passerby pulled the driver out. The driver, a man in his fifties, died at the scene.

Four people--one adult and three teens-in the other vehicle were rushed to a nearby hospital. Details of their injuries and conditions were not released, but Sanders said they were all expected to survive.

Depujties are investigating the crash
