Reading, PA : Two ejected from car that crashes in Colebrookdale on Wednesday night, August 3, 2016

Two people were ejected from a car that crashed Wednesday night in Colebrookdale Township, an official said.

Emergency crews were sent to the 700 block of West Philadelphia Avenue, which is also Route 73, at about 10:45 p.m. after a one-vehicle accident was reported.

According to G. Jeffrey Bealer, public information officer with Boyertown Fire & Rescue, the car was northbound when the accident occurred.

A male and a female were ejected from the car, he said, and both were taken to local hospitals by ambulance.
West Philadelphia Avenue was closed at the accident scene near the Colebrookdale Township police headquarters.
