SPRINGFIELD, MO : Judge sentences man involved in deadly high-speed crash in Springfield on Friday, 13th September 2024

A judge sentenced a Springfield man for a deadly high-speed crash into an Uber vehicle.

Andrew Irizarry-Sierra pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter charges. A judge gave him a seven-year prison sentence.

Investigators said on October 14, 2023, Irizarry-Sierra was driving a 2014 Ford Taurus east on Sunshine when he drove into the back of a stopped 2016 Toyota RAV4 at the intersection of Sunshine and National around 11 p.m.

The passenger of the RAV4, 26-year-old Domingues Buenrostro of Springfield, died from his injuries at the hospital. The driver of the RAV4 was an Uber driver.
