POLK COUNTY, OR : 1 killed, 2 hospitalized in Highway 22 crash on Tuesday, 2nd September 2024

Two people were hospitalized and one killed in a car crash on Tuesday, the Oregon State Police (OSP) said.

Around 1 p.m. Tuesday, OSP was called to a two-car crash on Highway 22 at the intersection with Highway 51 in Polk County.

The preliminary investigation indicated that a Lincoln MKS driven by 76-year-old Michael Robert Hine Jr., from Otis, was stopped on Highway 51 and made a left turn westbound onto Highway 22.
