A South Florida business owner is cleaning up after an accident left his business in ruin.

Surveillance video captured the incident that happened early Friday morning at the Yakut Properties located off of North Miami Beach Boulevard and 10th Avenue.

Ronen Hazan, the owner of the Real Estate business, said at around 1 a.m., he received a call from police asking him to come to his business. When he arrived, he found a vehicle inside. "He hit that, then he hit the glass, got inside the property, hit the wall and then got inside here," he said.

According to officials, a black Dodge crossed several lanes of traffic, hopped the curb and then slammed into the business. "Seeing the car inside the property, it was like really an unrealistic moment," said Hazan. "The funny thing is that today is my birthday, so just got the call right after midnight."

The footage shows Good Samaritans helping the driver out of the building. He was taken to a nearby hospital with neck injuries but has since been released. "His neck right now is hurting a lot," said Santiana Thanus the driver's daughter, "so they're going to do a CAT scan to see what's going on."

According to the police report, the driver said he was trying to avoid a pedestrian crossing the street and lost control of the car.

Thanus said her dad was not speeding but likely saved someone else's life. "Someone crossed in front of him, so in order for him to either move out of the way, he moved out of the way, but the car, it lost control with him, so then he either had to hit the person, God forbid, or run into the business," she said. "Which option did he choose as a Good Samaritan? Go inside the building because what else could he do?"

The surveillance video confirms that a person was walking across the street when the driver swerved to avoid hitting the pedestrian. The driver did remain on the scene, so he was not charged.
