A Putnam County man died Monday morning in a crash on U.S. 31 in Marshall County in north-central Indiana.
Mitchell Warner, 31, Cloverdale, was identified as the driver of a northbound 2016 Ford F150 that crashed into the rear of a 1995 Kenworth driven by Randall Grabowski, 49, Bremen.
Indiana State Police at Bremen said the semi had turned onto the highway and was getting up to speed in the right lane when Warner’s pickup truck hit the rear of the trailer being towed by the Kenworth.
The 9:30 a.m. collision caused the pickup to fuse to the rear of the trailer.
Warner was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, police said.
