Rush County, IN : La Crosse woman killed in early morning crash on Friday, 22nd November, 2019
A La Crosse woman was killed Friday morning when her car spun out on a slick Rush County highway and into the path of another vehicle.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported Terra Dawn Davis, 44, of La Crosse, was southbound on US-283 highway about 7:35 a.m. when she lost control of her 2002 Chevrolet Impala a half mile south of town and it went into a spin.
The car was struck by a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Taylor Page Calcara, 32, of Great Bend.
Davis, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Rush County Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead briefly after arrival, the patrol report indicated.
Calcara and a passenger in his vehicle, Mark Douglas Calcara, 70, of Great Bend, suffered suspected minor injuries. The younger Calcara declined treatment, while Mark Calcara was transported to the University of Kansas Health System’s Great Bend Campus.
