Annapolis, MD : Third man in Northeast Washington car crash dies on Saturday, January 7th 2017
The injured driver of a Mercedes-Benz that crashed on New York Avenue on Jan. 7 has died, bringing to three the number killed in the early morning collision, D.C. police said.
Antonio Holroyd, 33, of Northeast, was pronounced dead Thursday at a hospital. Others killed in the crash were Tyrone Tyrell Waters, 23, and Michael Waters, 34, both of Southeast.
Police said the crash occurred about 3:15 a.m. when the Mercedes, traveling east, went out of control, struck a traffic island and then a guardrail on a bridge in the 3600 block of New York Avenue NE.
The Waterses were each ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene. Police said that Holroyd, the driver, managed to climb out of the wreckage.
