Huntersville, NC : Nine people were injured in a school bus crash at Caldwell Station near Old Statesville Road onTuesday, April 26th, 2016

Emergency crews responded Tuesday after a vehicle crash involving a school bus in Huntersville. Nine people reportedly suffered minor injuries in the collision.

The wreck happened just after 5 p.m. on Caldwell Station near Old Statesville Road and involved two Charlotte-Mecklenburg School buses, according to Cornelius police.

The buses, numbers 1677 and 391, were from Bailey Middle School. Officials said back-up buses were on their way to pick up students and that they would be taken home via their regular route.

Officials have not said how many students were on the buses at the time of the accident, but said that nine people were reportedly injured. Eight of those injured were treated on scene and one was taken to an area hospital. All are expected to be

OK.

Investigators have not said what may have led to the crash or if any charges are being filed.
