Davenport, IA : Three injured in rural Scott County accident on Sunday, December 28, 2014

Three people have been injured in a single-vehicle crash in eastern Iowa.

The Scott County Sheriff's Office says a Honda Civic was traveling at a high speed early Sunday when it failed to yield at a stop sign. The car lost control and crashed into a ditch embankment.

The driver refused medical attention. The front passenger was taken to a local hospital with injuries.

Two other passengers sustained injuries. One was taken to a local hospital. Another was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Information about the injuries was not released. The names of the passengers and driver are also not available.
