Washington Court House,OH : Driver injured in rollover accident on Bogus Road on June, Friday 9th 2017

The sheriff’s office received a tone around 12 p.m. Friday on report of a rollover accident on Bogus Road, just off of U.S. Route 22. Upon arriving at the scene, the Washington Fire Department and FCSO deputies found a truck on its side in a field several yards from the road. It was discovered by first responders that the man was partially pinned under the vehicle.

The driver was 47-year-old James Dotson from Harrisburg. Dotson was traveling northbound in a 2001 Ford Ranger and, according to the FCSO, witnesses said that he began to swerve and traveled off the side of the roadway. Reports say he was pinned just above the knee, down to his feet, and after lifting the truck, WFD used the “jaws of life” to remove him from under the vehicle.

Emergency medical technicians quickly moved him onto a gurney in the field to begin checking his injuries and shortly after, MedFlight circled overhead in a fast descent. It landed in the field next to the vehicle and medical crews worked to get him onto the helicopter.
