Colorado Springs, CO : Man in critical condition after a single vehicle crash near the intersection of Circle Drive and Sturgis Road on Thursday night, April 7, 2016

One man is in critical condition after a single vehicle crash. It happened late Thursday night near the intersection of Circle Drive and Sturgis Road.

Investigators say a 20-year-old man was driving northbound on Circle, when he went off the right side of the road. The car struck several curbs, a light pole, boulders, and a large tree.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation but speed appears to have been a factor.

Circle Dr. was closed for several hours while crews cleaned up the debris.
