Alcorn County, MS : Corinth man killed in one-vehicle crash near Glen on Thursday afternoon, July 28, 2016
A 31-year-old Corinth man was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Alcorn County near Glen on Thursday afternoon.
Tyler Thomas died in the wreck that occurred east of Glen Town Hall, according to Alcorn County Coroner Jay Jones.
Thomas’ pickup truck was upside down at the bottom of an embankment off of U.S. Highway 72. It appeared Thomas was traveling westbound when he left the roadway and collided into a tree, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Thomas died on the scene from injuries sustained in the crash. It did not appear that Thomas was wearing a seatbelt, according to MHP, which continues to investigate the crash. The highway patrol responded to the wreck at around 1:45 p.m.
MHP, the Glen Volunteer Fire Department, Magnolia Ambulance, the coroner and the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Office were among the agencies that responded to the crash.
