MERRILLVILLE, IN : Lake County officer, crew injured in crash while filming 'First Responders Live' on Wednesday, 21st August 2019

While filming "First Responders Live," an officer and two film crew members were injured after another vehicle allegedly broadsided a police car on the way to an emergency call, police said.

A Lake County Sheriff's police car was involved in a two-vehicle crash shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to a news release from Lake County Sheriff Oscar Martinez.

A Lake County Sheriff’s officer, two members of the "First Responders Live" film crew riding in the police car and a second driver were injured in the wreck.
