An Orlando woman and her 6-year-old daughter were hit and killed by a motorcyclist while crossing Old Cheney Highway on Thursday night, FHP Lt. Kim Montes said.
The victims were identified Friday morning as Anelsy Aguero Alba, 33, and Sheyla Ruiz.
The two were not crossing the road at a crosswalk, Montes said.
The motorcyclist, Bryan Deaire Smith, 29, of Orlando was driving south on Semoran Boulevard near Old Cheney Highway, speeding and weaving through traffic, when he hit the victims at about 7:10 p.m, according to the FHP.
After the crash, he lost control and veered into northbound traffic, where he struck a minivan head-on, Montes said.
Smith and Alba were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where the pedestrian was pronounced dead. Smith was listed in serious condition as of Friday.
