Police said a person died in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 on Tuesday.
Vermont State Police had not identified the person who died in the crash as of Tuesday afternoon, pending notification of next of kin.
Trooper Bryson Lunderville said the driver of a 2008 Subaru Forester was traveling south on I-91 when the sport utility vehicle left the road and collided with ledges in the median.
The Forester re-entered the left southbound lane of I-91 and came to rest.
Medical personnel from the Windsor Fire Department pronounced the driver dead at the scene, police said.
Police were told of the crash at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Lunderville’s news release named another driver, Rowan O. Hayes, 23, of Burlington, who was driving a 2012 Ford Focus, but provided no information about how Hayes or the Focus were involved.
Witnesses to the crash can call Lunderville at 722-4600.
