Southeast,NY: Two people killed in two-car crash near about 1.5 miles north of the Westchester County line on Friday night,14th November 2014

Authorities have identified two people killed Friday in a two-car crash on Route 22 near about 1.5 miles north of the Westchester County line. Kathleen Bassick, 47, of Danbury, and Douglas Cable, 56, of Brewster, N.Y., were killed in the accident that occurred about 12:50 p.m. Friday. Bassick was driving southbound in a 2011 Hyundai when, for undetermined reasons, she crossed into the northbound lane and struck a 2008 Subaru being driven north by Joseph Ruffalo, 55, of Mahopac, N.Y. Cable was a passenger in Ruffalo's car. Bassick and Cable were taken to Putnam Hospital, where they were pronounced dead, according to police. Ruffalo was taken to Danbury Hospital and was released with minor injuries. Route 22 was closed for about four hours during the investigation. Source : Two killed in two-car crash in Southeast
