Savannah, GA : One person injured in multi-vehicle collision on Johnny Mercer Boulevard at Penn Waller Road in Savannah on Friday morning, February 19, 2016

Crews are working to clear a multi-vehicle crash on Wilmington Island.

It happened shortly before 8 a.m. Friday morning on Johnny Mercer Boulevard at Penn Waller Road. Five vehicles were involved and 1 person had to be taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

All of the vehicles involved were able to pull onto the shoulder, so traffic is not affected. However, drivers should slow down in the area as the scene is still active. Officials say they should have the wreck cleared shortly.
