Newland ,NC : Avery County deputy found unconscious after car crashed and hit tree on ear;ly Sunday ,April 26 2015

An Avery County deputy was found unconscious in his car early Sunday morning on NC-105, Avery County sheriff’s office said.

Authorities believe the deputy may have hydroplaned and hit a tree.

An ambulance crew found the deputy and rushed him to Johnson City Medical Center.

He is currently in the intensive care unit.
