Mahwah, NJ :Tractor-Trailer Sideswipes Vehicle, Hits Antoher One On Route 17 In Mahwah on Wednesday, July 1st 2015

The driver of a vehicle was taken to Valley Hospital following an accident involving a tractor-trailer, authorities said.Police received a call about the accident shortly before 1:40 p.m. Wednesday, police said.A vehicle in the center lane was followed by a tractor-trailer and attempted to enter the Courtyard by Marriott hotel on Route 17 south when the driver of the vehicle saw another vehicle approaching in the slow lane, police said.The vehicle in the center lane slowed down and was struck in the back by a tractor-trailer that attempted to avoid it, but was unable to, police said. The tractor-trailer also veered to the right to avoid the vehicle but sideswiped the another vehicle in the slow lane, authorities said.The driver of the vehicle in the center lane was taken to Valley Hospital, police said. Authorities are still investigating the accident.
